Robin Hood

Press release:

PGS Entertainment has sold the animated series Robin Hood: Mischief in Sherwood to a slew of international broadcasters.

The 52×11-minute show, which follows the adventures of a 10-year-old Robin Hood, was picked up by RTBF for French-speaking Belgium, NRK in Norway, Switzerland’s RTS, RTL Telekids in the Netherlands and Luxembourg, Direct Sight in Ukraine and Scotland’s BBC ALBA. Other recent sales include DeA Kids in Italy, Clan TVE and Canal Panda in Spain, VRT for Flemish-speaking Belgium, Portugal’s own Canal Panda, SVT in Sweden, MTV3 in Finland, LRT for Lithuania, Télé-Québec in Canada and Gloob in Brazil.

The show is also available on France’s TF1 and Germany’s ZDF, which commissioned the show with De Agostini. The children’s program is also offered on HD and 3D.

“This is a wonderful series for 6- to 10-year-old kids, especially because Robin himself is 10 years old,” said Philippe Soutter, the president of PGS Entertainment. “Kids can relate to Robin’s thirst for adventure and mischief, and parents love the lessons that he—and their kids—can learn along the way. Sales continue to be strong around the world as this is a story that crosses all cultures. We’re delighted to welcome all the new broadcasters to the Robin Hood family.”
