Training course:
Scriptwriting and concept development for animated TV series/Web series

This 12-week module is focusing on scriptwriting and concept development for TV/Web series and TV specials, either original or based on a book.
It is open to European graduate students and active professionals who have technical experience of animation, storyboard or lay-out and wish to orient their career path towards the field of film directing. Requirements are: strong graphic skills as well as the knowledge of basic 2D animation techniques.
The number of participants is 10 to 12, working in small groups of 3 to 4 people. Each group benefits from individual supervision by 20 European industry professionals. European and Swiss citizens may get a grant for participation fee as well as travel/accommodation expenses. Projects may be developed in French or English.
Projects professionally developed by previous course participants include TV series Ariol, broadcast on TF1 French TV channel; Michel, broadcast on Canal+ Family and ZDF in Germany, Me and My Dead Buddy (Cartoon Forum 2015), Vaudou Miaou (Cartoon Forum 2015), The Forth Planet, a crossmedia project (Cartoon Forum 2015), as well as the TV special Victor & la Babayaga ( Cartoon Forum 2013), Cheeky Anna (Cartoon Forum 2014) and The Dreadful’s Christmas, Cartoon Movie 2014), a feature film project.
