3D Wire brings forward the Spanish future of animation and video games with its 131 selected projects
It has been registered an increase of more than the 70% in the total reception of projects

The 4th 3D Wire Call for Projects presents the future of animation and video games made in Spain sectors with the most successful participation of all 3D Wire editions celebrated until date: 131 projects, including 24 short films, 16 feature films, 23 animation series, 57 video games and 11 apps.

Thus, this year call represents a real demonstration of the growth 3D Wire is experiencing: an increase of more than the 70% in the total reception of projects. In 3D Wire we support Spanish new talent and projects, fostering entrepreneurship and promoting the label Spain with a unique integrated vision of animation, video games and new media industries.

The Market, which will celebrate its sixth edition from October 2nd to 5th in Segovia, presents today the list of the best animation and video games projects selection. On Friday October 3rd, the selected projects will make a presentation among all the published ones in 3D Wire catalogue for this year, with the purpose of promote and support distribution of national animation and video games industry.

Furthermore, the 3D Wire publication is an indispensable reference guide of animation and videogames that can be found at international festivals and events and the most prestigious distribution markets of animation and video games industries.

The selected projects to be presented by their authors are: ‘Alike’ (PEPELAND, LA FIESTA PC), ‘Simbiosis Carnal’ (ROCÍO ÁLVAREZ) and ‘Topco’ (POST23) as short films; ‘Mortadelo and Filemón: Mission Implausible’ (ZETA CINEMA, PELÍCULAS PENDELTON), ‘Animal Crackers’ (ANIMAL CRACKERS LTD, BLUE DREAM STUDIO, BLUE DREAM STUDIOS SPAIN), ‘Capture the Flag’, (TELECINCO CINEMA, TELEFÓNICA STUDIOS, LOS ROCKETS A.I.E.) and ‘POSSESSED’ (CONFLICTIVOS PRODUCTIONS, BASQUE FILMS) as feature films; ‘I, Elvis Riboldi’ (EDEBÉ AUDIOVISUAL, WUJI HOUSE, INSOMNE ESTUDI, ALLA KINDA, TELE IMAGES PRODUCTIONS), and ‘Cocorico’ (OQO FILMES, EDEBÉ AUDIOVISUAL) as animation series; ‘Mortadelo & Filemón: Mission Implausible’ (THE BIG BALL STUDIO), ‘Rise and Shine’ (SUPER AWESOME HYPER DIMENSIONAL MEGA TEAM), and ‘Paradise Lost: First Contact’ (ASTHREE WORKS) as video games; and ‘My Preschool Monster’ (BIG BANG BOX, KD PRODUCTIONS) and ‘Chromville’ (IMASCONO ART) as apps.

All the selected Projects will be presented on Friday October 3rd. As an exception, ‘Mortadelo & Filemón: Mission Implausible’ feature film (ZETA CINEMA, PELÍCULAS PENDELTON) will be presented during the conference on Saturday 4th at 12:00 am, by Javier Fesser, Director and Screenwriter; Javier Abad, Ilion Animation Studios Animation Director; and Francisco Ramos, Zeta Cinema Producer. Also, ‘Topco’ short film (POST23) will be presented during the conference on Saturday 4th at 16:30 pm about “Animation and VFX: Ender’s Game”, hosted by Sergio Jiménez, CEO and Executive Producer of Post23; and ‘Mortadelo y Filemón: Mission Implausible’ video game (THE BIG BALL STUDIO) will have its own presentation on Saturday 4th at 20:15 pm in a talk presented by Rubén Soriano, IMMERSIVE INTERACTIVE CEO and Eneko Gutiérrez, Zeta Cinema Delegated Producer & Marketing Director.

Among all the projects included in 3D Wire 2014 publication, the winners could get the following awards:
RTVE Interactive Award to Most Innovative Game Project awarded by the RTVE Interactive Media Department, where the selected project can be presented to RTVE Interactive Management.

RTVE Interactive Award to Most Innovative App Project awarded by the RTVE Interactive Media Department, where the selected project can be presented to RTVE Interactive Management.

Canal+ / BTG Award-Grant to Best Short Film Project, this award gives the winner specific animation training with a grant for the BTG Course together with a €1000 prize.
