Mimic Productions is a company dedicated to producing high-end character animation, with a particular focus on photo-real facial animation.
David Bennett (CEO), founded Mimic Productions in Berlin Germany 1 year ago. Bennett, a 16 year veteran in the visual effects, performance capture, 3d gaming and virtual reality industries, has played a major role in the development of facial animation, having managed the Facial Motion Capture team at Weta Digital, in New Zealand. His past credits include Avatar, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Adventures of Tintin, Beowulf, Monster House and The Polar Express as well as providing facial motion capture supervision for more than 50 actors, including Angelina Jolie, Anthony Hopkins and John Malkovich.
Bennett’s vision for Mimic is to bring film-quality, photo-real facial animation to a broad range of productions including film, games, commercials, music videos, holograms and much more. Considering his past experiences and talented team, Mimic Productions is perfectly positioned to do just that. Backed by a team of specialist facial animation artists from across the globe, Mimic Productions provides services and consultancy in motion-capture, character modelling, rigging and animation to a standard that is hard to match.

Mimic has completed several high-profile projects since it’s founding, including the recently launched music video for Kanye West, entitled Blkkk Skkkn Head, a Cartier Commercial, entitled Winter Tale, and has created character rigs and animations for a variety of prestigious clients.
