Trunk are involved in an amazing project right now! We are currently on a live camera feed animating for the European elections. storychangers.eu/home that’s us when you see the UK sign.
We are working with Ogilvy Brussels and the European Parliament to get young people engaged with the European elections possibly leading them to cast a vote. Our friends Wouter and Thijs at Volstok have made a film with a cliff-hanger ending for the www.Storychangers.eu website, to get involved you, yes you to! Go to the site and suggest your own ending for the film, we’ve already animated cats in space, a cat turning into a muffin, and a cat/unicorn farting rainbows! So give us an idea, and then along with Joost Lieuwma in Utrecht and the guys at Volstok in Ghent, it’ll be up to us to animate the most popular suggestions!
The challenge here at Trunk is to produce forty different endings to the film over the next three days till the 9th of May! The cameras are live 11am to 7pm each day.
Thankfully the live feed has no sound so you will not be able to hear our agonised howls and Richard swearing like a docker.
Together; Alasdair + Jock, Rok Predin and Layla Atkinson along with their teams, will have to produce just over 13 endings per day, which works out as 1 film an hour, from design to storyboard/animatic to animation to compositing; this is a very, very, very tight schedule! As a warm up, we made two endings each this past week trying to stick to the three hour per film schedule, and it’s shown us just how tough this is!
