From now on TBS will handle directly, through Cartoon Network Enterprises, the licensing and merchandising business in CEE of its Original productions, among which: Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, Ben 10, Regular Show and The Powerpuff Girls
Responsible for the licensing area will be Dorota Pawłowska, Senior Licensing Manager, CEE who will report directly to Johanne Broadfield, Vice President CN Enterprises Europe Middle East and Africa.
Cartoon Network represents an important part of Turner Broadcasting System, with a consistent growth in the investments for the production of original series.
In order to create a more integrated approach to the market, Cartoon Network will manage directly all the relationships with licensees and retailers, previously held with great attention and professionalism by European Licensing Company who was the exclusive agent for the licensing and merchandising of CN properties in CEE (Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria and the Balkans).
The direct management of its own creations, from the development of the series to the product at retail represents a much more convenient business model for both CN and its partners.
The objective of the new structure is to position own production in the more effective way in the CEE market, target top partners to develop great products, as well as reinforce creativity and build integrated programs that will have an impact on sales. It has evolved as a result of a consistent development of the local regional office and a gradual investment in the region.
Through a flexible and nimble structure, Cartoon Network Enterprises will work very close to all partners in order to give the best support and service to its licensees. Furthermore, Cartoon Network Enterprises will be able to offer a 360 package to partners. Through a coordination with the marketing and ad sales department, partners will have a possibility to participate in numerous events or have an ad hoc execution of special promotions.
